News and Updates
It is with a heavy broken heart we are announcing the closure of our ferretry as almost as soon as it started with it's incredibly short lived run.
Infected imported ferrets from other breeders were confirmed carriers of ECE and Helicobacter were unknowingly introduced to our household and even after quarantined for safety-- has infected every single one of our ferrets. One of our ferrets took it hard but they all came out of it just fine. While many in the ferret community may think that ECE isn't enough to cause a closure, we stand by our vets advise that has told us otherwise.
We are young artists that work multiple jobs, it was out of our pocket we scraped up to import ferrets to Canada to try and give others a chance in owning a healthier ferret. We are millennials that live off of crumbs to get by yet still we wanted to attempt such a risky project. We suffered a lot of heartbreak over our own marshalls ferrets that had all died in devastating ways due to terrible breeding practices from marshalls. And we wanted to try to make a difference even if it was a minor one. Financially there is no way we can continue to bring ferrets into our home to try and save this goal as much as I wish we could. But we can't support the idea of breeding our ferrets, even if they show no signs of illness as confirmed carriers of ECE/Helicobacter and potentially them going into a home with other ferrets and infecting others.
It hurts us so much that we just got the ball rolling, with so many people excited for the chance to have kits from us... and we are so sorry we cannot be the ones to provide that to you. As for our current ferrets, they will remain in our homes as pets and will all be retired from breeding and live out their lives with us.
As of writing this, we are looking to rehome two from our last litter from Late summer of 2023. Please look to Available Kits for more information.

Important! If you are new to ferrets, please do your research as there are many misconceptions with ferrets and ferret husbandry. This is not a rodent to be housed in a small cage and set aside. If you are not ready to take on a pet such as a dog currently, then you may not be ready to take on ferrets as well. We have information in our Ferret Care tab or you can do your own research in forums such as Holistic Ferret.
