Remembrance of those that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge
All our ferrets are our family. We love them deeply in life and thereafter. Nothing could ever replace what they individually bring to us and to those who were around them. We love you, our little thieves...
MochiMochi and Sushi were a bonded pair and our first ferrets. Mochi was a little princess, liked things clean and tidy. She would even put Sushi's stashed meat back into the food dish. It isn't until her hunting mode was triggered that you saw her raw ferret side. She would make quick work of targeting any sqeaky toy or mouse.
Sushi and Mochi were Marshall ferrets and had some health complications but lived for a good 7 years. She passed in 2019. Rest in peace, Mochi. |
SushiSushi and Mochi were a bonded pair and our first ferrets. Sushi was our lil viking girl. She was messy, tough, sneaky. The biggest escape artist we've ever had to this day. After Mochi passed, she became very depressed. We got Lemon around this time and he looked over her and coddled her until her final days.
Sushi and Mochi were Marshall ferrets and had some health complications but lived for a good 8 years. She passed in 2021. Rest in peace, Sushi. |
MoraMora is the smallest ferret we have had to this date. She was so proper, dainty and sweet. She loved being held and being on your shoulders. She preferred cuddling and napping over play, which made her very fond of Lemon as he is very much the same. She was also very much a pillar to the other ferrets, mothered them often.
We took her to the vet for an extraction of a bad tooth but she had an adverse reaction to the anesthesia and passed during the procedure. Her loss is such a shock to us, it was much too soon. She passed in 2022. Rest in peace, Mora. |
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still. Where the friends of man and woman do run, When their time on earth is over and done. For here, between this world and the next, Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest. On this golden land, they wait and they play, Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day... |
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness. Their limbs are restored, their health renewed, Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued. They romp through the grass, without even a care, Until one day they start, and sniff at the air. All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back, Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack... |
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet. So they run to each other, these friends from long past. The time of their parting is over at last. The sadness they felt while they were apart, Has turned into joy once more in each heart. They embrace with a love that will last forever, And then, side-by-side, they cross over together. |
